Bridge Information
The bridge was built in 2014 and was designed to match many of the other bridges across the Pennsylvania Canal and Delaware Canal Trail (such as the Bridgeton Hill Road Bridge). It is a prestressed concrete bridge utilizing adjacent box beams, with decorative wooden trusses attached to the bridge fascia.
The previous bridge at this site was a thru girder bridge that was built in 1920.
