Bridge Information
The Laurel Avenue Bridge, also known as Monmouth County Bridge R-11, was constructed from 2019-2020. The previous bridge was built in 1931, and was a single-span encased steel stringer bridge. It was deemed to be a common type and was not historically or technologically distinguished. Therefore, the new bridge focused on durability instead of trying to match the previous bridge.
