Bridge Information
The Badger’s Island Bridge is a steel stringer bridge that was built in 1938 to carry U.S. Route 1 to Badger’s Island in Maine. The World War Memorial Bridge carries traffic across the river on the other side of the island. This bridge was one of the first continuous steel stringer bridges in the state.
